Goal

Marrakech is an emerging centre fort trade and tourism. It attracts many economic migrants from the Atlas Mountains and surrounding rural areas, aiming for a wealthier future.
This has a negative impact, especially on the surrounding villages.
There is a lack of financial means and attention for those who stay behind and the altered circumstances by which they are confronted. Needless to say that this affects many, especially children.
A lack of work, lack of government social support, appropriate housing and sanitary means, suitable education as well as other important primary needs for living results in feelings of isolation and abandonment which provides a fruitful basis for crime, prostitution, alcoholism, drug abuse etc.

Children are being raised under these circumstances. The poorest members of the community are often affected the most. The foregoing is equally applicable to the children in Tamesloht.

Centre Fiers et Forts is carefully looking after those children, who often do not have any name and/or official identification.
They aim to offer them a better future by providing for appropriate education which enables them to earn a living in the future.

Children of the age between 6 and 16 are educated by professional teachers in Arabic, French, mathematics, history and geography. Attention is equally paid to allowing these children time to relax and play, and offering them cultural development with special focus on social skills. Sport is given by our volunteers from England!
